I have a quick little butterfly card with instructions to share with you today.
The base card was cut from a piece of 12 x 12 Bazzill cardstock. Cut the card in half so each piece is 12 x 6" (approx 30cm x 15cm) and you will have 2 base cards.
Cut a piece of white cardstock roughly 10cm x 15cm and trim around the outside with decorative scissors (I used pinking shears)
Cut six squares in total from two coordinating pieces of patterned paper. Each square will be approx 5 x 5cm and will need to be trimmed again with decorative edging scissors.
Before you go any further, place all of the pieces (white card included) onto your base card and make sure that they all fit neatly! (this is because some people will cut more of the edge off with the decorative scissors and some less)
If you are happy with the sizes of everything, edge each piece with a neutral beige ink pad and stick into place on the base card. I added a little 'dashed' line down the left hand side of each square so that the squares would look as if they had been stitched onto the card.
On a separate piece of cardstock, stamp the butterfly image and trim with scissors.
Stick into place with foam pads so that it is raised off the card.
Add self adhesive gemstones along the body of the butterfly for effect.
Finally add 3 buttons on the left hand side and stamp the sentiment onto the base card to complete the design.
Shopping List ...
I love this card and am going to try and recreate it. I will book the Christmas part one and bring it along for feedback. Can;t wait. Alison
